Welcome to Frostburg State University’s Office of the General Counsel. Mr. Brad Nixon is the University’s General Counsel and chief legal officer and is responsible for all legal matters that affect the University.

Mission
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is committed to providing ethical, practical and effective legal counsel, guidance, and policy analysis to the University, its faculty, staff, and administrators on the issues that they may confront on behalf of the University.
Please note that the Office of the General Counsel does not provide personal legal services for faculty, staff, administrators, or students of the campus community.
