Residence Hall Security

Residence halls remain locked 24 hours a day. Additionally, all FSU residence halls have ID card-access readers and video security cameras at all exterior doors.

Residence hall facilities are for use by residents and their bona fide guests only. Residents have keys to their rooms and are encouraged to keep their doors locked at all times, even if they are only going to be away for a "few minutes." To gain access to the building the resident must accompany guests. all FSU residence halls have ID card-access readers and video security cameras at all exterior doors.

Campus Building Security

Academic and administrative buildings are normally open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and at other times when events are scheduled. The Lewis J Ort Library is open seven days a week with hours posted on the University web site. Those needing access to buildings at times when buildings are closed may do so when proper authorization has been received by the University Police from responsible faculty/staff member or administrator.
