In FSU’s Department of Theatre and Dance, you will receive pre-professional training in acting, design/technology and theatrical studies. Our creative and comprehensive classes and engaging production season allows you to participate in real-life experiences that foster in-depth knowledge about the art and business of the theatre profession. Our department also encourages and celebrates cultural and stylistic diversity throughout our performances and overall program.
Theatre and Dance Program Highlights

Choose from three distinct career paths -- Acting, Design and Technology and Theatrical Studies.

Study the only Musical Theatre Minor in the state of Maryland.

Earn a Dance Minor and perform one or more dance concerts per year.

Partner with other programs, including Music, Athletic Training and Nursing through our Acting in Simulation Program.
